FESTI Live-Fire Rescue Course

What we offer

The FESTI Live-Fire Rescue Course is focused on advancing hands-on skills at our state-of-the-art training facility in our burn house and rescue tower. As a participant in the search and rescue days, you will spend over 90% of your time developing your skills under live fire conditions. This day is concentrated on real-life skill development focusing on the foundational knowledge and practical skills to perform search and rescue techniques safely and effectively.

Course Content

• You will work in small groups of only 16 participants per training day and a 1-to-5 student to instructor ration
• Specific areas of study include:

• Scene safety
• 360-degree survey
• Building size-up and profile
• Primary search
• Patient removal/drags, carries, and rescues
• Oriented search

• Outside/in search
• Large area search
• Secondary search
• Hose advancement
• You will work in small groups of only 16 participants per training day and a 1-to-5 student to instructor ration
• You will work alongside fellow firefighters in team environment, as you perform together such challenging tasks as firefighting drills, responding to progressively more challenging fire scenarios.
• You will be required to bring your own serviceable PPE or fill out a requirement sheet prior to your training day to ensure rental gear availability.

Payment must be made when registering for courses. We reserve the right to cancel seven days prior to any course in which the minimum registration is not achieved.
