• Security program integration and awareness of building-critical infrastructure and facility life safety features
• Emergency response and continuity of operations; hazardous materials, fire, evacuation, medical emergencies, extreme weather, evacuation and shelter in place, H2S, O2, CO2, suspicious packages, bomb threats
• Fire safety plans, fire and human behavior, building / facility fire warden roles and responsibilities, conducting effective fire drills
• Occupational health and safety program integration; first aid, hazard identification in security patrols, mental health, persons requiring assistance during evacuations
• Emergency systems; fire alarm, sprinklers, gas and refrigerant detection systems, firefighter elevators, emergency power, public address systems, emergency lighting
• Arriving fire service priorities & expectations, lessons learned, common challenges during evacuations
• Building the “life safety” business case

• Security communications templates
• Security and life safety signage templates
• Fire drill procedures and documentation templates
• Emergency response procedure templates
• Monthly exercise / training documentation template
• Preventative maintenance schedules: daily, monthly and annual required inspections
• Sample business case

This course is aimed at security directors/managers, program managers, security coordinators, patrol supervisors and program executive teams.
